Claims Handler BOAR Insurance

Location Izegem, West Flanders, Belgium Salary € 2.800 - € 3.500 gross / month Contract type Indefinite time Hours 37.5 h/week Work schedule Day Specialisation Finance

Function

As an insurance claims manager, you are responsible for following up on claims files within BOAR insurance for private clients. You ensure that files are handled correctly and that clients know where they stand.

Your duties will include:

  • You follow up on claims files within BOAR and ensure correct and timely processing.
  • You analyse claims files and gather the necessary information to enable further handling.
  • You maintain contact with clients and keep them informed of the status of their file.
  • You ensure accurate administrative processing and follow-up of the various files.
  • You monitor the completeness of files and ensure that agreements and actions are followed up on correctly.
  • You consult with colleagues when a file requires further alignment.
  • You contribute to a personal service whereby clients can count on smooth and clear guidance, even at difficult moments.

Depending on your experience and interests, your range of responsibilities may develop further over time. In a small office, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas about day-to-day operations and their further development.

Profile

Relevant experience in claims management is important for this role. We are looking for someone who can follow up on files independently whilst also keeping sight of the client behind the file.

  • You have demonstrable experience in claims management within the insurance sector.
  • You have knowledge of BOAR insurance, preferably within personal insurance.
  • You are able to analyse and follow up on claims files independently.
  • You work accurately and punctually and ensure that files are completed correctly.
  • You communicate fluently and in a client-focused manner and are able to convey information clearly.
  • You are sociable and enjoy working together with colleagues.
  • You take responsibility and are able to organise your work well.
  • You have a good knowledge of Dutch.
  • You are willing to work primarily from the office.

Organisation

You will join a small-scale insurance office where personal service and a close client relationship are central. The team consists of three colleagues who work closely together and support one another. From a newly refurbished office environment, they primarily advise individuals on their insurance and guide clients through the follow-up of their files. In addition, they aim to further expand their services over time towards the self-employed and SMEs.

Due to the limited team size, communication lines are short and there is a great deal of direct consultation. You work with colleagues who have visibility of each other's files and who are willing to support one another. Weekly meetings are held to discuss operations and objectives.

Offer

You will take on a role in which you can apply your experience in claims management within a small team that focuses on collaboration and personal service.

  • A close-knit team: you work alongside two colleagues and are part of a small-scale office operation.
  • Support and consultation: you can rely on colleagues and there is room to discuss files and questions together.
  • Autonomy: you take responsibility for monitoring your own files.
  • Flexible employment: full-time or 4/5 employment is open to discussion.
  • A working week with ADV: the working schedule is based on a 39-hour week with ADV days.
  • Attractive salary package: your salary is determined based on your experience and further development.
  • Meal vouchers: €10 per day worked.
  • Group insurance and hospitalisation insurance: both are provided.
  • Collective bonus: upon achieving the office's predefined objectives, you may be eligible for a collective bonus.
  • Team activities: informal get-togethers are organised regularly, such as meals or drinks together, in addition to an annual team-building event.
