Insurance advisor

Function

As a commercial insurance adviser, you are an important point of contact for private clients. You combine advisory work with active commercial follow-up, thereby contributing to the growth of the insurance portfolio.

Your duties will include:

• You contact existing clients to review their insurance files and assess whether their current insurance policies still match their situation.
• You independently analyse insurance files and map out possible points of attention or additional needs.
• You advise clients on suitable insurance solutions and identify opportunities to expand their existing insurance package.
• You create clear overviews of clients' insurance policies, so that they are well informed about their coverage.
• You actively prospect for new clients and request quotes or develop these further.
• You follow up on incoming leads and invite potential clients for a meeting at the office.
• You contribute to the further development of the client portfolio, with attention in due course to the self-employed and SMEs as well.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who recognises commercial opportunities whilst genuinely valuing a good client relationship.

• You preferably have experience in the insurance sector or hold a relevant qualification and are motivated to further develop yourself.
• You have a commercial mindset and enjoy taking the initiative to contact clients yourself.
• You communicate fluently and socially and know how to advise clients in an accessible manner.
• You work meticulously and ensure that your tasks are completed correctly and in full.
• You can analyse files independently, but also enjoy collaborating with colleagues.
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch.
• You are willing to work primarily from the office.

Organisation

You will join a small-scale insurance office where personal service and a close client relationship are central. The team consists of three colleagues who work closely together and support one another. From a newly renovated office environment, they primarily advise private individuals on their insurance. In addition, they aim to further expand their services towards the self-employed and SMEs.

Because the team is small, you gain direct insight into the office's operations and files. Regular meetings are held to discuss progress and objectives. Moreover, you are not on your own: colleagues help you where needed and you get the opportunity to gradually expand your knowledge and responsibilities.
