Function
As a customer service representative at our client in Zeebrugge, you will take on the following range of tasks:
- Creating transport orders: you ensure that transit times and delivery dates are met
- Order follow-up: track costs and deadlines and inform customers when necessary
- Smooth cargo planning: You ensure smooth cargo planning
- Proactive solutions: propose solutions and respond proactively
- Troubleshooting: deal with problems that may arise
- You will work in 3 shifts to be agreed together with your colleagues (07h30 to 16h00 - 08h30 to 17h00 - 09h30 to 18h00)

Profile
What profile is our client located in Zeebrugge looking for for the vacancy of customer service assistant?
- Language skills in English and Dutch: fluent in both English and Dutch, essential for communication with international and local customers
- Experience in the logistics and transport sector: You have gained some experience in this sector, providing a good understanding of the processes and challenges associated with logistics and transport
- Extensive knowledge of MS Office packages: excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Customer-oriented and stress-resistant: oriented to always put the customer first and good at handling stressful situations
- Team player with accuracy, reliability and flexibility: collaborate with others while working accurately and reliably
Organisation
Our client once started as a family business and is headquartered in Luxembourg. Meanwhile, it already employs 3,400 people across 5 sites (in Belgium: Zeebrugge and Antwerp). They operate in RORO (Roll On Roll Off) and have 21 container ships of their own. In Zeebrugge, they handle 2000 - 2500 cargoes weekly. All operational handling is done on site in Zeebrugge.
