Function
What is your role and responsibility in the position of planner UK at our client located in Zeebrugge?
- You ensure that everything behind the scenes runs smoothly and smartly
- You coordinate transport capacity and costs so that planning is not only efficient but also well-considered
- You actively help think about how to do things even better: smarter planning, more efficient processes and optimisations that really make a difference
- When unexpected delays or ad hoc situations arise, you switch quickly and keep all parties involved on the same page - from subcontractors to customer service colleagues
- You communicate clearly, professionally and solution-focused with subcontractors in the UK as well as with your internal colleagues
Profile
As well as someone with the necessary planning skills, we are primarily looking for someone who:
- Motivated, with a background in planning if possible, but a relevant qualification is certainly sufficient as well
- Experience in ship planning is a big plus
- Knowledge of UK geography is needed
- You communicate fluently in both Dutch and English
- You are strong in communication and always think in terms of solutions
- Even under pressure, you remain calm, know how to prioritise and maintain an overview effortlessly
- You are a real organiser who likes to roll up your sleeves
You will co-rotate in a shift system between 7 am and 6 pm.
During the training period, you will work from Monday to Friday (about 1 year) and then you will enter a regime of working one week a month on Saturday or Sunday (at a nice premium, of course).
