The mission of a “Business Controlling Specialist” is to analyze both the gains against the losses and the balance sheet, as well as reporting for the various entities within your responsibility.

As a Controller, you should support Management with clear and objective comments on various day-to-day business matters and, in addition, provide both Management and Operations (MDs of the various entities) with guidance and monitoring with regard to business performance.

You will closely monitor any risks that could arise from outstanding items in the balance sheet and will ensure that Management is alerted to any adverse risk.

You will also go on occasional business trips, but not to the extent that it disrupts the desired work-life balance.

In their RSSC structure, you are responsible for the following tasks:

• Reviewing the SAP BP to head office, ensuring all deadlines are met, and providing detailed commentary on key events that occurred during the month;
• Analyzing the results of the company and discussing them with the management;
• Reviewing and improving processes related to estimating work in progress and gross profit;
• Being the single point of contact for the Group for the relevant entities in your portfolio;
• Analyze the results of the establishment and propose various initiatives to improve profitability;
• Ensuring that the departmental structure in SAP is up-to-date at all times;
• Follow up the evolution of the gross profit in terms of volumes/margins;
• Drafting the P&L budget based on the SAP BPC tools;
• Proactively monitor the balance sheet to ensure they are not at risk;
• Participate in the local management meetings as a representative of the RSSC;
• Ensuring compliance with the various financial processes locally, not only by the finance staff, but also by the operational staff;
• Preparing information for audits and visits of Group Controlling;
• Follow-up of Webcost / Operational KPIs (e.g. auto-posting);
• Support the control and follow-up of overhead costs;
• Ad-hoc tasks as needed.

For the position as Finance & Business Controller you have the following qualifications:

• At least 3 years of proven experience in the field of controlling with solid experience in finance, business results, planning and analysis.
• Experience with audits is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Excel is essential, SAP knowledge is an advantage.
• Being a team player and having excellent communication skills, a creative and problem-solving approach, the ability and willingness to work with tight deadlines, change management mindset (fast changing and growing company) and ownership approach.
• Fluently in English, it is the group's business language. Other languages are a plus.
