Function

Purchaser, ready to use your keen eyes and negotiating skills on projects that make a difference? In this challenging role, you will bear responsibility for managing procurement files from A to Z, fully in line with the budget and schedule requirements of your assigned projects. You will prepare detailed tender requests, analyse and compare tenders with a keen eye for conformity and optimisations, and discuss your findings with the project team. Furthermore, you remain alert and proactive in your search for new suppliers and products to continuously improve cooperation and offerings. This role is all about collaborating with a driven team in a structured system, striving for efficiency across all sites and business activities. Your workplace is based in Mechelen, Antwerp, Belgium.

Profile

Our client is looking for someone who brings the following qualities and experience:

• A real communication tiger who maintains an overview and an eye for detail even in stressful situations.
• Preferably a construction-related education and several years of experience within the construction industry in a purchasing or site position.
• A natural team player who works passionately together.
• A born negotiator who knows how to effortlessly approach suppliers for professional collaborations.
• Excellent command of Dutch and French. Knowledge of English is a nice extra.

Organisation

At our client, they specialise in civil engineering, industrial construction and buildings. Thanks to their expertise and efficient execution of works, they are considered a relevant partner in large construction works. The head office is located in Kontich.

To join their team, they are looking for an experienced purchaser for our site in Kontich or Hasselt.
