Senior Buyer

Function

As Senior Buyer you are responsible for the purchasing of materials, services and subcontractors for a variety of infrastructure projects. You work closely with the project teams and ensure that everything is procured on time and under the right conditions.

• You map out the purchasing needs and determine the right approach.
• You identify suppliers and subcontractors and compare quotations.
• You negotiate prices, contracts and terms.
• You follow up on orders and purchase contracts.
• You monitor price, quality and delivery times.
• You keep the purchasing administration up to date.
• You report to the head of the purchasing team.

Profile

For this role we are looking for an experienced buyer with a technical background and knowledge of the construction sector. You negotiate fluently, work in a structured manner and know how to make the right choices.

• You hold a master's degree, preferably in a technical discipline, and have at least 10 years of purchasing experience in the construction sector.
• You understand technical dossiers, specifications and commercial terms.
• You are strong in negotiating and maintaining supplier relationships.
• You work accurately, maintain overview and respond flexibly to changing priorities.
• You work proficiently with MS Office; knowledge of KPD is an advantage.
• You speak and write excellent Dutch and can communicate professionally in French and English.
