Prevention advisor level 2

Function

As Health & Safety Expert, you are part of a multidisciplinary expertise team and are responsible for further developing and implementing the prevention policy within the Belgian organisation.

You work closely with various internal and external stakeholders and act as a central point of contact for everything related to well-being and safety at work.

Your responsibilities:

• Development, implementation and follow-up of the prevention policy and global prevention plan
• Building and maintaining an internal and external network (occupational health service, inspection services, social partners, management, employees)
• Conduct workplace inspections and monitor compliance with legal safety requirements
• Analysing workplace accidents, near misses and complaints for structural improvement actions
• Conducting internal audits and preparing external security audits
• Seats on the Committee for Prevention and Protection at Work
• Advising management on safety policy and monitoring management systems
• Organising and conducting safety training and toolbox meetings
• Coordinating risk analyses, statutory inspections and maintenance of work equipment
• Initiating and monitoring Health & Safety projects
• Correctly documenting and reporting all H&S-related activities
• Following up on legislation and continuing education within the field
• Handling reports, incidents, non-conformities and improvement proposals
• You will report operationally to the expertise centre manager and functionally to the management.

Profile

• Prevention consultant Level 2
• Hands-on attitude, with strategic insight
• Strong communication skills and fluently bilingual (NL/FR)
• You combine policy-based thinking with a pragmatic approach
• Willing to travel regularly within Belgium
• You take initiative, work independently and think along with operational realities
