Prevention consultant Level II
Function
As Prevention Advisor, you are the permanent point of contact for everything to do with safety, health and the environment within two West Flanders sites. You combine analysis with action and are regularly among the people in the workshop and on site. Specifically, this means:
- Coordinate between external prevention service, management and employees.
- Follow up and realise the Global Action Plan and Annual Action Plan.
- Draft, update and apply procedures, risk analyses, instructions and monthly reports.
- Detect risks in production and on sites, take measurements and work out solutions together with project management and purchasing.
- Organising toolbox meetings and training that match the reality on the floor.
- Analyse incidents and accidents and translate them into preventive measures.
- Oversee legal obligations and periodic inspections.
You do not work from a distance: as a safety or HSE adviser, you are a visible presence and take responsibility until things are resolved.
Profile
What is really needed here:
- A higher technical education, supplemented by a Level 2 Prevention Advisor diploma (minimum).
- At least 5 years' experience in a technical manufacturing environment such as precast, concrete, rebar or construction-related industry.
- Fluent in Dutch; French is an asset.
In addition, you fit in here because you:
- Practical thinking: you see a problem, discuss it with the right people and turn it into feasible actions.
- Communicating clearly: you explain safety measures in a way that employees understand and follow.
- Stand firm: you dare to defend choices towards production and management when safety demands it.
Organisation
You will join a stable, growing player in precast concrete solutions for infrastructure, industry and agriculture. Quality, sustainability and responsibility are key, with investments in renewable energy and recycling. The organisation is people-oriented, with short decision-making lines and a culture where initiative is appreciated. You work from a modern office environment and are in direct contact with production and management.
