Planning Officer
Function
- As a Planning Officer, you take on a central role in the day-to-day organisation of personnel, equipment, and transport for infrastructure and construction projects in Brussels.
- You create and manage the personnel planning from A to Z. In consultation with operational managers and HR, you align in-house staff and external teams with the needs of the sites.
- Thanks to your planning, the deployment of workers, foremen, machinery, and transport is organised in a timely and efficient manner. This ensures teams can get to work at the right time with the right resources.
- As a planner, you are an accessible point of contact for workers, foremen, site managers, subcontractors, and internal departments. Requests, changes, and practical arrangements are followed up clearly and carefully.
- You manage transport and fleet requirements, flag issues, and align solutions with the relevant logistics and fleet colleagues.
- Temporary unemployment, site registrations, medical examinations, weekend work, and activities during closure days are also proactively monitored and communicated by you in a timely manner.
- When in-house teams or machinery are insufficient, you coordinate the supplementation with external resources and support the follow-up of agreements made with external partners.
- You work in a people-focused organisation within the construction sector, where various technical and operational areas of expertise collaborate on complex projects. Quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement define the daily way of working.
Profile
- You have approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in planning, personnel coordination, logistics, or a comparable operational role. A bachelor's degree, for example in logistics or supply chain, is an advantage but not an absolute requirement.
- A practical environment appeals to you and you have a good sense of what operational staff need. Experience within the construction sector or with site-related planning helps you to make an impact quickly.
- Maintaining oversight, setting priorities, and making swift adjustments are among your strengths. Even when an unexpected request changes the next day's schedule, you remain precise and solution-oriented.
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working with a wide range of internal and external contacts. This connecting approach is important for executing agreements correctly and building trust.
- You are proficient with common Microsoft applications, including Excel, and can express yourself professionally in Dutch, French, and English.

Our client is a leading player in the construction sector with extensive experience in both infrastructure and construction projects. By combining different areas of expertise and working closely with specialised teams, they succeed in delivering complex projects successfully. Quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement are the common threads throughout.
