Production planner
Function
- As a Planning & Production Officer, you translate customer needs, stock levels and production capacity into a feasible and efficient weekly production schedule. This ensures that customers receive their products on time and in the correct quantities.
- You draw up the personnel schedule, take account of leave and staffing per machine and align the schedule with the production manager, to whom you report.
- Stock management forms an important part of your role: you monitor raw materials, packaging materials and auxiliaries, place call-offs with suppliers in a timely manner and prevent shortages or unnecessary stock.
- In consultation with, amongst others, technical maintenance, purchasing and production, you make adjustments when capacity, material availability or technical circumstances change.
- You contribute to article management and support improvement projects by collecting, processing and analysing production data. Your insights help to make processes more efficient and more predictable.
- As a production planner, you think proactively alongside the production team, flag bottlenecks at an early stage and translate information into concrete actions.
- You also take on a back-up role for certain quality tasks, ensuring the continuity of day-to-day operations.
Profile
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is welcome; equivalent experience in production planning, supply chain or a comparable operational environment will also be considered.
- You bring approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant experience and have demonstrable affinity with production planning, stock management and capacity coordination.
- A strong knowledge of MS Office and good analytical skills help you to interpret data correctly, build schedules and make well-founded decisions.
- You communicate fluently and clearly in Dutch and can also use professional French and English for coordination with suppliers or colleagues.
- You work accurately, maintain oversight when priorities shift and take initiative. That combination is essential not only for solving problems, but also for continuously identifying opportunities for greater efficiency.
