Insurance advisor
Function
- As an insurance adviser, you help private individuals and a number of self-employed clients find solutions suited to their situation, with a focus on clear advice and long-term client relationships.
- You discuss insurance needs during scheduled appointments and translate questions into concrete proposals, without cold prospecting or pushy sales.
- The day-to-day work is varied: from production and policy drafting to administrative follow-up and claims management. This gives you a complete picture of the insurance profession.
- Life insurance may in time become part of your remit. If you already have an interest in this, that is a welcome bonus; you do not need to have mastered everything from the start.
- With support from experienced colleagues, you will get to know the products, systems and working methods step by step. The internal training is built up practically around real client files.
- You work together in a stable banking and insurance office where colleagues know each other, share knowledge and want to move forward together. A retirement creates the opportunity to bring a new colleague on board on a lasting basis.
- From the new office environment in Grote Spouwen, you contribute directly as an insurance specialist to clear client service and the smooth handling of every file.
Profile
- A diploma or specific qualification in insurance is not required. An interest in financial services, a willingness to learn and an eager attitude carry more weight.
- Experience as an insurance adviser, administrative employee or client coordinator is welcome, but candidates with 0 to 3 years of experience are equally given a realistic opportunity to join.
- You communicate in a friendly, clear and professional manner. Clients need to feel that their query is taken seriously and that you can explain information in an accessible way.
- An eye for detail and accuracy are important when dealing with policies, applications and claims data. You maintain an overview without losing sight of personal contact.
- You fit in with an approachable, collegial working environment: personable, reliable and willing to collaborate. A commercial mindset is not the starting point; sound advice and trust come first.
Organisation
Anyone who walks in here immediately notices the pleasant atmosphere and strong team spirit. This banking and insurance office combines a warm, stable working environment with a clear desire to move forward together. Colleagues know each other well, turnover is low and there is currently room for a new addition following a retirement.
Alongside this personal approach, the office also looks ahead: there are exciting plans on the horizon, including a move to new premises. Added to that, there is parking right at the door and public transport is easily accessible thanks to a bus stop approximately five minutes' walk away.
Offer
- A full-time working week of 37 hours with a gross monthly salary, tailored to your experience and profile. As a reference figure, approximately €2,600 to €3,000 net is mentioned for a full-time position.
- Meal vouchers of €10 per day worked, eco-vouchers and an end-of-year bonus form a concrete part of the package.
- A company car with fuel card is provided from the start for candidates with relevant experience; for those coming straight from education, the package will be considered separately.
- You will receive a group insurance and a supplementary allowance that depends on the final profile and the arrangements made.
- The leave package consists of 20 statutory holiday days, 4 ADV days, 4 additionally granted days and extra bridge days: approximately 28 days in total, supplemented according to the calendar.
- Working hours are generally from 8.45 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.15. On Wednesday you work until 18.00 and on Friday until 17.00. You can arrange your lunch break yourself within the agreed working pattern.
- A 4/5 working arrangement is open to discussion in practice. Tuesday is the fixed day off within the current schedule; the remaining arrangements are agreed with the team.
- Working from home is possible on an exceptional basis, but collaboration takes place primarily at the office.
- You will work in Spouwen, in a new office environment with ample parking facilities.
- From the moment you start, you will receive guidance and training from experienced colleagues, with room to grow into a broader role as an insurance specialist.
