Take charge of your claims files independently and make a difference for clients.

For an independent financial office, we are looking for an experienced claims manager who enjoys taking responsibility and wants to handle claims management from A to Z.

You will find yourself in a versatile role in which you handle a wide range of claims files. From standard motor claims to legal assistance and occupational accidents within companies: you will have the opportunity to further develop your expertise across various insurance branches.

Your responsibilities will specifically include:

• You independently manage claims files from notification to full settlement.
• You monitor files closely and ensure correct, smooth and timely processing.
• You maintain contacts with clients, insurance companies and experts, and defend the client's interests throughout.
• You analyse the policy conditions and know the fine print of the various insurance companies.
• You negotiate and consult with the parties involved to reach a correct claims settlement.
• You guide clients through the claims process and provide support where needed.
• If necessary, you attend an expert assessment on site to support the client.
• You carefully record all communications, appointments and file information in the internal management systems.
• You ensure that colleagues can find the status of files at any time, so that files can continue to be followed up smoothly in your absence.

You will be responsible for a broad range of claims files, including:

• Motor claims and related material damage.
• Legal assistance files.
• Claims within various insurance classes.
• Occupational accidents for business clients.

It is a role with a great deal of variety, client contact and responsibility. You are given the space to organise your own way of working, as long as you ensure structured and correct follow-up.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for someone who has already built a solid foundation in claims management and has sufficient experience to handle files independently.

You recognise yourself in the following profile:

• You have relevant experience in claims management within the insurance sector. Experience is an absolute requirement.
• Experience at an independent insurance broker is a strong asset, but not a requirement.
• You have a sound knowledge of various insurance classes and are experienced in claims handling.
• You are familiar with policy terms and conditions and know how to optimally defend the interests of the client.
• You are confident in consulting with clients, insurers and experts and hold your ground.
• You work in a structured and organised manner and always maintain an overview of your active files.
• You take initiative and can independently organise your work and set priorities.
• You follow up files proactively and do not wait for others to tell you what needs to be done.
• You record information accurately and ensure clear and complete file construction.
• You have sufficient maturity and sense of responsibility to handle claims management independently.
• You have strong communication skills, are client-focused and solution-oriented.

You are someone who likes to take the reins, thinks ahead and ensures that clients can count on correct and personal follow-up.

Organisation

You will join an independent financial branch with strong local roots and a personal approach.

The office builds on long-term client relationships and offers tailored advice and guidance across various financial domains, including insurance and banking services.

You work in a small-scale and collegial environment where collaboration is important, but where you are also given the necessary independence within your own area of expertise.

As a claims handler, you play an important role within the insurance division. You take responsibility for managing claims files and professionally guiding clients throughout the entire claims process.

• An attractive gross salary of between € 3,000 and € 4,000, depending on your experience and expertise.
