Function

For an independent insurance agency, we are looking for an Insurance Clerk who enjoys working in a warm, stable and personal environment.

You will join a small, close-knit office where clients have relied on a familiar face, sound advice and accurate service for many years. This is not a commercial environment with hard targets or constant pressure to bring in new clients. The office is already well established and has a loyal client portfolio.

The focus here is mainly on helping existing customers move forward properly, following up insurance files correctly and providing clear, human service.

Function

As an Insurance Clerk, you are an important link within the office. You ensure that clients are helped further correctly, friendly and efficiently, both administratively and substantively.

You will mainly work with existing customers. They contact you with questions, come to the office spontaneously or count on you for the follow-up of their insurance files. You listen to their situation, provide clear information and ensure that everything is processed correctly administratively.

Depending on your experience and strengths, you may take up tasks within production, claims, management and/or consultancy. You do not necessarily have to be an expert in everything, but you will have a foundation on which to build further.

Your duties may include:

  • Administrative follow-up of insurance files;
  • Managing policies and customer files;
  • answering customer queries;
  • Providing clear and correct advice to private customers;
  • Following up damage and/or production files, depending on your experience;
  • Supporting the day-to-day operations of the office;
  • professionally continuing to help customers who drop by spontaneously.

The client portfolio consists mainly of private individuals, supplemented by a smaller proportion of SMEs and sole traders.

Profile

For this position, we are not looking for an outspoken salesperson, but someone who enjoys delivering quality work and is comfortable in a calm, collegial and people-oriented environment.

You are someone who enjoys helping customers, works accurately and values trust and long-term relationships. You feel at home in a smaller structure where everyone knows each other and where cooperation is more important than commercial pressure.

You recognise yourself in the following:

  • you are spontaneous, friendly and customer-oriented;
  • you work administratively accurately and correctly;
  • you communicate clearly and professionally;
  • you feel good in a calm, warm and collegial atmosphere;
  • you are reliable, steadfast and think long term;
  • You can work sufficiently independently;
  • You have a bachelor's degree;
  • A first experience in insurance is strongly recommended.

You do not have to be able to do everything perfectly already, but it is important to have a basis on which to build further. The firm likes to invest in someone long-term and is especially looking for a colleague who fits within its way of working: correct, committed, human and reliable.
