Vacancy
Workshop manager
Function
- As Workshop Manager, you take day-to-day charge of the workshop in Sint-Truiden and ensure that people, materials and planning are well aligned.
- You divide the work, monitor progress and intervene in a timely manner when priorities change or deadlines come under pressure.
- The quality, safety and orderliness of the workshop are partly your responsibility. You make agreements concrete and follow up to ensure they are applied consistently.
- Through technical insight and a practical outlook, you support colleagues with questions, problems and unexpected situations. You find solutions that work in day-to-day practice.
- You coordinate the use and maintenance of tools, machinery and other workshop resources, so that work can be carried out efficiently and safely.
- You regularly align with other stakeholders on planning, available capacity, material requirements and the status of ongoing activities.
- As workshop coordinator, you help build a clear way of working and a pleasant, professional environment in which colleagues know what is expected of them and receive support when needed.
Profile
- You preferably bring 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a workshop, production or technical environment, with experience in organising or supervising work activities.
- Technical insight, a sense of responsibility and the ability to quickly determine priorities help you to keep the workshop running smoothly and with a focus on quality.
- You communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues and other contacts. This is important for making agreements understandable, flagging issues early and keeping collaboration running smoothly.
- Planning, monitoring and adjusting come naturally to you: you maintain an overview without losing sight of the practical details.
- You work accurately, address others in a constructive manner and take initiative when you see opportunities to improve safety, quality or efficiency.
Organisation
You will be based on a brand-new site of no less than 2.5 hectares, comprising workshops, training facilities and forward-looking offices. The company is easily accessible and ample parking is provided for staff.
Offer
- You can count on a market-conform salary package that is tailored to your relevant experience, technical expertise and responsibilities as Chef Atelier.
- The specific benefits and salary conditions are discussed transparently during the selection process, so that you get a clear picture of the full offer.
- You work from the workshop in Sint-Truiden, in a role where you achieve visible results in terms of organisation, quality and day-to-day collaboration.
- You are given the space to further develop your role and to help improve processes, working agreements and collaboration.
- Through the combination of operational responsibility and coordination, you can deepen your experience and grow into a broader role as workshop coordinator.
