Weekend Site Manager

Location Vilvoorde, Flemish Brabant, Belgium Salary € 3.500 - € 5.500 gross / month Contract type Indefinite time Hours 40 hrs/week Work schedule Weekend work, Day Specialisation Construct Engineering

Function

How do you keep multiple site zones under control?

And how do you ensure that the project keeps moving forward?

  • As Weekend Site Manager, you organise and coordinate the activities on a large-scale steel construction site in Vilvoorde, with particular attention to progress during the weekends.
  • You align the planning with the head site manager, project manager and other construction site coordinators, so that the various site zones and activities connect smoothly with one another.
  • The day-to-day supervision of workers, subcontractors and partners is partly in your hands. You ensure clear agreements, an efficient division of work and adequate staffing.
  • You monitor the quality of the works carried out and intervene in a timely manner when technical, organisational or practical adjustments are needed.
  • As the point of contact on site, you maintain transparent communication with the executing teams, partners, clients and inspectors.
  • Safe working comes first: you check that procedures are being followed, discuss risks with those involved and take action when circumstances require it.
  • You report on progress, bottlenecks and agreements made, so that project management also has access to accurate information outside of the weekend.
  • By maintaining a calm overview and providing clear direction, you help the team to make quality progress according to plan, even within a complex working environment.

Profile

Do you have a passion for impressive steel structures?

And do you dare to take the lead?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in a construction or technical field, for example civil engineering, mechanics or electromechanics, or you compensate for this with relevant experience on a steel construction or infrastructure site.
  • With 3 to 5 years of experience in site supervision, steel construction, civil construction or a comparable technical environment, you understand the impact of planning, quality and safety on execution.
  • Organising, setting priorities and aligning various parties are among your strengths. This is essential for making independent decisions during weekends and safeguarding the continuity of the works.
  • You communicate clearly and respectfully with a variety of stakeholders. Your approach is decisive when necessary, but always focused on collaboration and a workable solution.
  • You consciously choose a role with weekend work, take responsibility on site and remain structured, safety-conscious and solution-oriented even in unexpected situations.

Organisation

Our client is a leading player in European steel construction and delivers projects in which innovation and quality are central. The bridge builders dedicate themselves every day to creating impressive steel structures that connect people and places in a unique way. You become part of a close-knit team that takes responsibility, supports one another and never shies away from a challenge. The positive team spirit ensures that strong work is delivered together and that everyone can look at the result with pride. Outside of the site, there is also room for connection: the team can regularly be found taking on a sporting challenge or enjoying a social gathering. Here you combine craftsmanship and ambition with a pleasant working environment.

Offer

What do you get in return for your commitment?

  • You contribute to technically challenging steel construction and infrastructure projects with a clear societal added value and a result that remains visible.
  • You enjoy the collective construction industry holidays in summer and winter, totalling 32 days of annual leave.
  • A cafeteria plan offers options to tailor part of your salary package to your personal situation, within the available choices.
