Site Manager

Function

As Site Manager You will be responsible for day-to-day management on site. You will coordinate the delivery of challenging projects in the Antwerp, Kempen and Brussels regions, and ensure that planning, quality, safety and collaboration are closely aligned.

In this role, you will be the first point of contact on site and will monitor the progress of the works from preparation through to handover. You will manage your own teams and subcontractors, monitor the technical execution of the work and take proactive action when adjustments are needed. You will contribute to projects in which civil engineering expertise, meticulous organisation and clear communication are key.

• Day-to-day coordination and monitoring of site activities;
• Managing workers, subcontractors and relevant partners;
• Monitoring the schedule, budget, quality and safety;
• Checking that the work is carried out in accordance with plans, specifications and technical requirements;
• Reporting to project management and consulting with internal and external stakeholders;
• Identifying bottlenecks and actively contributing ideas for practical solutions;
• Contributing to an orderly, efficient and safe working environment.

You will have the opportunity to help build innovative and technically sound civil engineering projects within a Class 8 environment where collaboration, craftsmanship and continuous improvement are key.

Profile

For this role, our client is looking for a motivated and organised professional with some initial experience in site supervision or construction coordination. You feel at home in a technical environment and draw energy from managing people, monitoring deadlines and resolving practical challenges on site.

Ideally, you will have the following background and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering or an equivalent technical qualification;
• Experience in a relevant role within the construction or civil engineering sector;
• Strong organisational and planning skills;
• Smooth and clear communication, both with workers and with project partners;
• A hands-on approach and a solution-focused mindset;
• An eye for quality, safety and efficiency;
• Leadership skills and the ability to motivate people;
• A good knowledge of Dutch; knowledge of other languages is an asset;
• Basic digital skills for site administration and reporting;
• Willingness to be actively present on site and to switch easily between different tasks.

Experience in civil engineering, infrastructure or large-scale construction projects is an advantage, but motivated entry-level candidates with the right attitude are also welcome to apply.
