Site Manager
Function
How do you bring the short-term planning to life?
- As site manager in construction, you take charge of the day-to-day organisation of the site in Brussels and on projects in Flanders. You oversee execution from shell to finish and keep the project visibly on track.
- You translate the short-term planning into a feasible division of work for workers, subcontractors, materials and equipment. That way, everyone knows what needs to happen and when.
- You monitor progress on a daily basis, detect bottlenecks early and make adjustments before they put the planning or quality under pressure.
- You keep a close eye on orders and deliveries of materials and equipment. An empty construction site or unnecessary downtime? You'd rather nip that in the bud in good time.
- Quality checks, site meetings and practical coordination are a fixed part of your work. You report clearly on the current status to the project manager.
- You manage workers and subcontractors clearly and respectfully. You bring different parties together around one workable approach and ensure efficient collaboration.
- You also monitor financial points of attention: additional works, consumption, performance and deviations are flagged in good time, so that decisions are based on the right information.
- From large-scale new builds to renovation, restoration, utility construction and infrastructure: as a construction coordinator you'll enjoy variety in projects and the space to deliver visible results.
Profile
Are you technically skilled and practically minded?
- A graduate, bachelor's or diploma in industrial engineering in construction is a strong foundation. An equivalent combination of practical experience and technical knowledge is equally considered.
- You have approximately five to ten years of relevant experience as a site manager, site supervisor or construction coordinator, preferably within larger and technically varied construction projects.
- Reading plans, organising work logically and assessing the quality of execution are among your familiar working tools.
- You communicate fluently in Dutch and can also manage in a professional context in French, ensuring smooth collaboration with the various parties involved.
- You combine clear leadership with composure, a sense of responsibility and consultation. This approach helps you to bring people along even when plans change or time pressure increases.
