Weighbridge operator
Function
As Weighbridge Operator and Invoicing You’ll be the linchpin linking administration, customer service and operational support within a dynamic organisation in Halle (Flemish Brabant). You’ll ensure that every job is handled flawlessly from an administrative perspective, whilst maintaining contact with customers, drivers and colleagues. From recording freight weights to handling invoicing, your work is essential to the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Your duties will include, amongst other things:
- Recording and processing the weights of incoming and outgoing consignments.
- Accurate management of data relating to customers, drivers and transport operations.
- Issuing and processing invoices for transport and container services.
- Maintaining contact with customers at the counter and over the telephone (in Dutch and French).
- Supporting the operational planning of containers and shipments.
- Administrative processing of transport documents (such as CMRs and identification forms).
- Monitoring payments and till transactions.
- Answering customer enquiries about rates, products and waste streams.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.
No two days are the same in this varied role, and you’ll be working in a small, dedicated team that collaborates closely to ensure operations run smoothly.

- An interest in transport, logistics, building materials or recycling would be an advantage.
- You are willing to learn about waste streams, products and specific terminology.
