Transport planner

Function

For the Transport Planner vacancy at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Together with a team of 15 transport planners and dispatchers, you will be responsible for ensuring that the journeys of 100 of our own drivers and those of our external partners run smoothly
• You’ll start out in the role of Dispatcher for the first few months to get to know all the customers, journeys and drivers well
• They have covered lorries, refrigerated trailers and combination trailers
• When you first start as a Dispatcher, you’ll monitor the drivers’ journeys based on the schedule
• The journeys are spread across the Benelux, Germany and northern France

Profile

If you are applying for the Transport Planner role with our client, you will recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have had your first successful experience as a Transport Planner working with your own drivers
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English
• You’re good at keeping track of things and stay calm during busy periods
• You are willing to spend some time familiarising yourself with the role of Dispatcher first, so that you can get to know the workflow, the company and the customers well
