Transport Planner returns

Function

For the vacancy of Transport Planner at our client, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• As a Transport Planner returns, you ensure that lorries drive back as empty as possible after a delivery and turn return flows into a profitable planning
• You consult daily with your fellow planners and their drivers about their planned runs so that you can respond accordingly
• The majority of the runs are headed towards Germany, France and the Benelux
• You build a useful network of transport partners, clients and contact persons that you can draw upon for your return loads
• With insight into transport prices and market movements, you negotiate daily rates and monitor the commercial viability of the proposed loads
• You work day hours from Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 17:00

Profile

For the vacancy of Transport Planner at our client, you recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You already have several years of experience as a Transport Planner, preferably in an international environment
• You can build and maintain a network to draw upon for your assignments
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch, English and preferably also in French
• You are communicatively skilled and can maintain a good overview

Our client is a logistics service provider with multiple locations in Belgium and is primarily active in the Benelux, France and Germany.

• Market-based gross salary based on experience
• Meal vouchers of 8 euros per working day; from December this amount increases to 9 euros
