Container transport planner

Function

For the Transport Planner vacancy at our client’s company, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Together with 5 colleagues, you are responsible for the transport planning of approximately 100 drivers throughout the Benelux
• You intervene promptly in the event of delays, changes or practical issues and keep all relevant parties informed
• In close collaboration with colleagues from order input and administration, you ensure that information is processed correctly, completely and on time
• During busy periods you monitor priorities, adjust the planning where necessary and maintain an overview of multiple ongoing transports
• You work daytime hours, with planners typically starting their day at 7am and staying until the work is done; the business owners naturally wish to offer fair remuneration for hours worked

Profile

If you are applying for the Transport Planner role with our client, you will recognise yourself in the following competencies:

• You have an initial positive experience as a Transport Planner, preferably within container transport
• You can express yourself professionally in Dutch and English
• You are able to work effectively in a dynamic environment and set your priorities accordingly
• You are flexible with regards to working hours
• You work well in a team and have strong communication skills
