Transport planner

Function

Are you a strong planner who enjoys liaising between customers, drivers and colleagues? Does a dynamic logistics environment, where no two days are the same, give you a real buzz? Then you might just be the transport planner we’re looking for!

What will you do?

• You can create an efficient transport plan by combining loads in a smart way
• You monitor available capacity and take statutory driving and rest periods into account
• You decide which shipments are carried out by our own fleet and which are outsourced
• You minimise empty kilometres and maximise fleet utilisation
• You must notify customer service of any changes, delays or deviations in good time
• You will check transport details and ensure that the administrative follow-up is carried out correctly

You will be joining an enthusiastic and professional planning team that works together every day to provide international clients with the best possible service. Collaboration, mutual support and delivering quality are central to this.

And your first day at work? That starts, of course, with a warm welcome and a cup of coffee or tea. That way, you’ll get to know your colleagues straight away, because here, it’s the people who make the difference!

Profile

You’re a natural organiser who keeps a cool head, thinks on your feet and enjoys finding solutions. You communicate easily with customers, drivers and colleagues, and know how to prioritise in a dynamic environment.

In addition, you will bring the following to the role:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is a bonus, but certainly not a must
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within the logistics sector
• A good command of Dutch and English
• Experience with the Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of the local area and a customer-focused approach

Junior talent is also welcome! If you don’t yet have all the experience our client is looking for, but you’re keen to develop into a transport planner, then our client would definitely encourage you to apply!
