Transport planner

Function

As part of your role, you will be responsible for all operational, logistical and administrative tasks within the company relating to transport:

• Organising transport planning smoothly and cost-efficiently;
• It integrates similar processes and procedures;
• You will be responsible for processing orders in relevant systems;
• Supporting transport planning is mainly carried out with charter trucks and trailers;
• You will support daily planning and contribute to getting the best possible roundtrip;
• Customer satisfaction met through your problem-solving skills and the trickiness of risk;
• You will be a coordination point and contact for customers, carriers, drivers, the shipping department and the warehouse;
• You track drivers and subcontractors to ensure deliveries are made on time;
• You will see to it that the customer's requirements are met within the specified timeframe, the necessary communication with all parties involved around this is done, and includes both necessary follow-up and feedback;
• You will ensure that the company's activities are in line with legal requirements and that the standards essential by ISO and SQAS are maintained.

Profile

Can you tick off the following points?

• Can you communicate fluently and have great problem-solving skills;
• Are you accurate and can think analytically well;
• Are you flexible and willing to work in two alternating day shifts (06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00);
• On-call duty to be managed once every four weeks – on-call allowance of 7.5%;
• You are fluent with a PC and have a good knowledge of the MS Office package;
• You have a very good knowledge of Dutch and can speak a fair bit of English. Other languages are a plus;
• You have some experience within a painful environment, planning experience is not a must.
