Function

Your duties as a calculator for our client in the Ghent region:

• Analyse specifications, plans and technical specifications to produce accurate costing.
• Compile competitive and well-founded bids, including a complete and well-organised dossier.
• Manage tender follow-up and monitor key deadlines and submission requirements.
• Map out an initial budget, possibly after a site visit, to make a correct budgetary estimate of the project.
• Get quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, compare them thoroughly and make an informed choice.
• Work out a detailed cost estimate, broken down into manageable cost items.
• Actively participate in handover meetings and ensure smooth transfer of the file to implementation.

Profile

For our client, based in Ghent, we are looking for a candidate with the following profile:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience.
• If you have relevant experience in a similar position, this is a great asset.
• Your strong analytical skills enable you to quickly grasp complex information.
• You have a good knowledge of the MS Office package.
• You are fluent in Dutch and express yourself easily in French and English.
• You have a driving licence B and get energy from occasional site visits to perfectly prepare your calculations.
