Tender Manager
Function
We are looking for a Tender Manager for a multidisciplinary construction organisation to help ensure the smooth running of the preliminary phase of complex projects.
You will work on challenging projects under various types of contract and ensure that every proposal is soundly substantiated from a technical, commercial and contractual perspective.
What does the job entail?
- You are responsible for the entire tender process, from analysis to submission.
- You will help to develop a robust tender strategy in consultation with senior management and colleagues in the sales department.
- You will lead a multidisciplinary tender team comprising colleagues from design, cost estimation, legal, finance and maintenance, amongst others.
- You analyse contract documents and translate them into feasible and well-thought-out solutions.
- You will oversee the schedule, budget, quality, risks and contractual compliance.
- You will liaise with clients, partners and subcontractors.
- Once the contract has been awarded, you will ensure a smooth handover to the implementing organisation.
Profile
What do we expect from you?
- You have strong communication and leadership skills.
- You think analytically and strategically.
- You have experience of complex tender processes or project management.
- You are able to cope well with stress and are results-oriented.
- You have a background in architecture, economics, engineering or a similar field.
- You have at least 6 years’ experience, ideally as a project leader, tender manager or design manager.
- Experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
