Technical Sales Engineer

Function

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you develop technical solutions for projects within intralogistics and warehouse automation. You support the sales team from concept and calculation through to quotation and handover to execution.

• You analyse client requests, technical data and tender enquiries, and translate these into concrete system solutions.
• You collaborate with Sales Managers and technical specialists to develop concepts that align with the client's operational needs.
• You create layouts and system designs using AutoCAD or similar software.
• You evaluate various technical solutions and outline the advantages and disadvantages to clients and internal stakeholders.
• You calculate the full project scope, including technical components, software, installation, and system integration.
• You align designs and calculations with the relevant specialists and incorporate the approved solutions into the required documentation.
• You prepare technical quotations, including functional descriptions, and manage the associated tender documentation.
• You support sales during client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations.
• Upon approval of a project, you ensure a complete handover to the teams responsible for further execution.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a technically skilled candidate who can work analytically and enjoys contributing to client-focused solutions. You combine technical knowledge with strong communication skills and a commercial interest.

• You hold a master's degree in a technical field.
• You ideally have several years of relevant experience in engineering, technical sales, solution design, or project work.
• You have an interest in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or automated logistics systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is an asset.
• You are able to analyse technical data and translate it into designs, calculations, and quotations.
• You work accurately and take into account technical feasibility, project scope, and cost.
• You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of French or other languages is an advantage.
• You are able to manage multiple files and deadlines and take initiative when additional information is required.
• You are client-focused, communicate clearly, and enjoy collaborating with commercial and technical teams.
