Service Engineer

This challenging technical job combines service interventions at customers' premises with assembling machines in the workshop. As a Service & Assembly Technician, you will have an exciting and varied role with international contacts:

On-site service interventions (30%)

• Detecting and resolving electrical and mechanical faults on machines
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and parts replacements
• Installation, adjustment and testing of production machines at customers' premises
• Training and technical advice to customer operators and maintenance staff
• Reporting of work carried out and materials used

Assembly in the workshop (70%)

• Assembly, wiring and erection of production machines and assemblies
• Connecting and checking various electrical components (motors, sensors, drives)
• Perform mechanical fine adjustments (alignment, tolerances, couplings)
• Preparing and supporting FATs, OI checks and safety inspections
• Signalling and recording deviations, performing quality checks

Profile

• Minimum technical training (bachelor or graduate degree in electromechanics, maintenance engineering or equivalent through experience)
• Several years of practical experience within an industrial, technical environment
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, assembly and fault analysis
• Knowledge of reading technical drawings and diagrams (E-Plan, pneumatics)
• Basic experience with PLCs is a plus
• Good communication skills in Dutch, English and French
• In possession of driving licence B to move smoothly to customers
• Flexible to regularly travel internationally; in addition, you enjoy working in the studio
• Be able to work independently and in a structured way, but also be a real team player
• Customer-oriented, quality-conscious and result-oriented in your approach
