Field Service Engineer
Function
As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be joining a dynamic, young team and will have the opportunity to put your electromechanical skills to use on challenging projects in Belgium.
- You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and technical support of automated warehouses and conveyor systems. You will carry out this work for customers throughout Belgium (with a focus on Flanders).
- You will work closely with your colleagues in pairs to resolve complex issues, and you will contribute to both preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Analysing faults and implementing effective solutions to minimise production downtime.
- Carrying out small-scale retrofit projects in the field of electromechanics.
- Keeping records of work carried out, such as maintenance reports.
- Providing support to the office staff in preparing quotations.
Profile
For this role, we are looking for motivated and flexible candidates with a passion for technology. Here are the key requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or a TSO diploma, although experience carries more weight than a qualification.
- Excellent command of Dutch and a good command of English.
- A Category B driving licence, as you’ll be on the road a lot!
- Knowledge of electromechanics, particularly in the field of heavy-duty mechanics.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Communication skills and an assertive attitude: you are confident in making decisions independently.
- Physical fitness: you will sometimes be working at height and in cold environments.
- Team spirit and a flexible mindset: you’re a real go-getter.
Organisation
Our client is an independent integrator of logistics automation solutions. They help companies make their intralogistics processes smarter, more efficient and faster by offering bespoke solutions. They are involved in both new (greenfield) projects and retrofit projects, and also provide service and maintenance. They are currently looking to strengthen their service and maintenance department by recruiting new staff to join the 17-strong team.

- A competitive salary of between €3,000 and €4,000 (depending on your experience), with additional allowances for overtime, working in cold conditions and working at height.
