Service Engineer

Function

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and optimising pharmaceutical process equipment at customer sites both at home and abroad. You will act as the technical point of contact on site, ensure the smooth operation of the installations and be prepared to deal with a wide range of technical situations. Your duties as a Service Engineer include:

• Installation and commissioning of process equipment for pharmaceutical clients.
• Analysing and resolving technical faults in machinery and plant.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and replacing critical parts in good time.
• Preparing and carrying out service calls independently, in close consultation with colleagues and the customer.
• Preparing service reports, checklists, calibration reports and accurate timesheets.
• Identifying and reporting recurring technical issues, with the aim of improving processes for both the customer and the organisation.
• Implementing safety procedures and advising customers on the efficient use of the equipment.
• Work alongside Service Account Managers and fellow Service Engineers to optimise service processes and customer satisfaction.

Profile

For this technical and versatile role, we are looking for a candidate who fits the profile below:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanics or relevant work experience in a technical environment.
• An interest in or experience of mechanical engineering, mechanics, electronics, control engineering and process engineering.
• Independent and analytical, with a hands-on and solution-oriented approach.
• Service-oriented, with strong communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude.
• Flexible and able to cope with stress, and willing to travel frequently (internationally).
• A good command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French or Spanish would be an advantage.
