Service Engineer
Function
As a Service Engineer, you will mainly work on site at customers' premises, mainly in hospitals. You will take care of the maintenance, repair and optimisation of transport devices and bed movers. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on work with customer orientation. Your tasks include:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot high-tech systems.
- Perform repairs on both mechanical and electronic components.
- Preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustment and parts replacement.
- Taking care of customer contacts and scheduling, sometimes with overnight stays.
- Formulating improvement proposals and thinking along on efficient solutions.
- Collect and share feedback with internal teams.
- Provide support in the internal production department when required.
- Administrative tasks related to repairs carried out.
Profile
For this position, we are looking for a motivated candidate with a passion for engineering and customer contact. The ideal Service Engineer will have:
- An accurate work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with electronic and mechanical components.
- Ability to maintain customer contacts in a professional and friendly manner.
- A good sense of humour and perspective.
- A valid driving licence B, where you enjoy being on the road.
- Willingness to sometimes work abroad within a 2-hour radius from Sint-Niklaas.
- Availability to stay overnight on site if required.
- Willingness to participate sporadically in in-house production and warehouse work.
Organisation
Our client develops, manufactures, maintains and repairs ergonomic transport solutions for hospitals. They are known for their bed movers as well as their systems for goods transport within hospitals. All devices are custom-made, with strong focus on ergonomics, quality and relieving hospital staff. They are 16 employees including 3 service technicians for whom they are still looking for reinforcement in their team.
