Quantity Surveyor

Location: Neder-over-heembeek, Brussels, Belgium Specialisation: Construct Engineering Salary: € 3.500 - € 5.500 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 40 hrs/week Work ritme: Day

Function

How do you turn measurement data into a reliable financial basis?

  • As a Quantity Surveyor, you form the financial link between the construction site, the measurement data and the project administration. You verify quantities and progress so that construction and infrastructure projects are followed up correctly from a financial perspective.
  • You analyse measurement records, measurement results and execution data, and validate the information in consultation with surveyors, project managers and other technical experts.
  • You identify discrepancies, ambiguities and opportunities for optimisation in a timely manner. In doing so, you help project teams to make well-founded decisions and limit financial risks.
  • You translate the applicable measurement codes into correct administrative processing, reporting and smooth alignment with the accounts department.
  • Using construction software such as BIM, CAD and KPD Bouwoffice or comparable applications, you support analyses and make measurement and project information usable for various stakeholders.
  • Site visits in Neder-over-Heembeek and other project environments alternate with analytical and administrative work from an office. This keeps you close to the realisation, both technically and financially.
  • You contribute to a more efficient approach to measurement and follow-up processes and share insights with multidisciplinary teams that place quality, sustainability and results at the centre.

Profile

Are you analytically strong and familiar with the dynamics of a construction site?

  • A first experience in civil engineering forms an important foundation.
  • Your insight helps you understand how a construction site operates and how the financial follow-up is organised.
  • You approach complex problems in a structured and solution-oriented way.
  • You are comfortable working with BIM, CAD and KPD Bouwoffice or similar construction software.
  • A forward-thinking outlook helps you to make the most of data and measurement results.
  • Collaborating with surveyors, project managers and other technical experts energises you.
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail are among your strengths.
  • Flexibility appeals to you: one day you are working on site, the next you are handling administrative follow-up from an office.
