Project Manager

Location: Brussels, Brussels, Belgium Specialisation: Construct Engineering Salary: € 3.500 - € 5.500 gross / month Contracttype: Indefinite time Hours: 40 hrs/week Work ritme: Day

Function

Where do organisation, technology and teamwork come together?

  • As Project Manager, you take overall charge of one larger construction site and several smaller renovation and restoration projects within a specialised division.
  • Thorough preparation forms the foundation: you analyse specifications, draw up schedules and determine which materials, staff and machinery are required.
  • On site, you translate the project objectives into a feasible working approach and monitor progress, quality, safety and efficiency.
  • You coordinate your own tradespeople, subcontractors and other parties involved, ensuring that everyone has the necessary information at the right time.
  • You organise site meetings with purpose; decisions, agreements and action points are followed up meticulously.
  • When faced with technical or organisational obstacles, you actively seek solutions and investigate which renovation techniques best suit the existing structure.
  • You keep the budget and timeline under control, report clearly on progress and make adjustments when circumstances require it.
  • From the initial preparation through to completion, you ensure overview, clear communication and a result that is technically and practically sound.

Profile

Do you combine technical interest with a people-oriented approach? And do you get energy from projects that are never quite the same?

  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or construction.
  • Experience in renovation, restoration or technical construction projects is an asset.
  • You ideally bring 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, site coordination, renovation or a technical construction environment.
  • Planning, organising and prioritising come naturally to you, even when multiple sites or unexpected situations demand attention simultaneously.
  • You communicate clearly with tradespeople, clients, subcontractors and colleagues. That connecting style is important for turning agreements into collaboration and progress.
  • An interest in renovation, restoration and technically complex projects, combined with a solution-oriented and persistent attitude, helps you achieve visible results in this role.

Organisation

Our client is a strong group with more than 30 years of experience and approximately 900 employees. The employees are the organisation's greatest asset. Safety and well-being therefore occupy a prominent place in day-to-day operations. The conviction is clear: those who feel good at work can collaborate with confidence, grow and make a lasting contribution. Collaboration and development are therefore important pillars within the organisation.

In addition, our client continually works on its social and ecological impact. Sustainable growth is a clear ambition. Since 2017, the organisation has operated from a nearly energy-neutral building with solar panels, LED lighting and climate control via a heat pump. Mobility also receives attention: the vehicle fleet is aligned with a limited CO₂ output and defensive, economical driving is encouraged. The organisation also supports good causes and actively engages in social initiatives.

The working environment offers more than just professional challenges. In addition to information sessions and site visits, there is room for sports activities, social moments and team building. The annual quiz is also a firm fixture. This creates a working environment in which collaboration, job satisfaction and engagement reinforce one another.
