Project Engineer Façades
Function
How do you make complex façade details executable?
- As Project Engineer Façades you translate complex façade designs into a feasible, safe and high-quality execution on a large construction project in Leuven.
- You elaborate technical details of façade elements and align them with architects, engineering consultancies, the internal design department and specialist partners.
- Together with the project manager you monitor preparation, planning and progress, so that the site moves forward in an organised and financially controlled manner.
- You critically analyse execution methods and optimise them where this improves efficiency, quality or practical feasibility.
- You keep a precise track of the financial and administrative progress of your project component, including technical documents, records and agreements.
- For task risk analyses and safety measures you work together with the prevention adviser; inspections, safety rounds and follow-up actions also receive your attention.
- You actively support quality checks and follow up on deviations, complaints and inspections until a clear solution and correct registration is in place.
- From the site office you stay close to the execution: you switch smoothly between plans, consultations and day-to-day reality, and see your decisions become reality step by step.
Profile
Are you technically strong and practically minded?
- You have approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in structural project management, preferably with complex façades, façade elements or comparable technical construction details.
- A technical construction qualification or equivalent practical experience helps you to independently understand and assess plans, execution details and technical documentation.
- You combine technical precision with administrative structure: you keep schedules, records, budget information and quality documents well organised.
- You communicate clearly with project managers, architects, engineering consultancies, subcontractors and specialist partners, because good alignment directly contributes to smooth execution.
- You think practically, raise issues in a timely manner and actively promote safety, quality and collaboration on site. That combination makes you strong as a structural project engineer.
Organisation
Our client is a large Belgian class 8 contractor specialising in utility construction and complex infrastructure projects. The organisation delivers large-scale new-build and renovation projects within the residential, commercial and public sectors. Projects include hospitals and care institutions, multifunctional office buildings, schools, university campuses, residential towers and apartment complexes. Civil structures such as tunnels, bridges and other infrastructure works are also realised. Through Design & Build formulas, a project is managed from the design phase through to completion. As main contractor, our client works closely with architects, engineering consultancies, clients, subcontractors and specialist partners. BIM and other digital applications help to organise construction processes efficiently, whilst safety, quality and sustainability remain key priorities on every site. Circular construction, the reuse of materials and the reduction of waste streams also form part of the forward-looking approach. You will find yourself in an environment where complex projects, technical knowledge and strong collaboration come together.
