Piping project engineer
Function
As a Project Engineer, you play a key role in the execution and preparation of piping projects. You act as a link between the project management, production, and execution teams, taking on a wide range of responsibilities to ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently.
- Elaboration and preparation of piping.
- Analyse tender dossiers, specifications and plans.
- Drafting and interpreting technical construction drawings.
- Provide support in preparing quotes together with the project manager.
- Preparing productions with work preparation packages (weldlogs, material lists, spool lists).
- Optimise piperouting, isos, and supports based on technical layouts and P&IDs.
- Implement QA checks and execution control through visits to the workshop and possibly project sites.
- Tracking orders and compiling production files,.
Profile
To be considered for this varied and challenging position, you will be expected to do the following:
- Preferably a bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent through experience.
- Experience as a technical draftsman/work planner in the construction or piping sector is a big plus.
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role is ideal, but a junior profile with the right training may also be considered.
- Skill in working with AutoCAD and Inventor or similar drawing programmes.
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented skills.
- A collaborative attitude, with the capacity to carry responsibilities independently.
- Ability to read plans.
- Experience with Office applications and a structured working attitude.
- Very fluent in Dutch and good knowledge of English.
Organisation
Our client has been operating for more than 25 years and specialises in industrial pipelines, pressure vessels and metal structures. They are responsible for design, construction, installation and maintenance. Their customers are mainly in the (petro)chemical, pharmaceutical, food, water purification,... Currently, they have about 50 employees of their own. Due to further growth, they are currently looking for a project engineer to support the project leaders.
