Mechanical Design Engineer

Function

As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for the following range of tasks:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components in consultation with project leader and sales.
• Preparation of technical drawings in Autocad and Inventor.
• Working out the solutions sold into detailed designs.
• Requesting quotes from suppliers.
• Close communication with the workshop manager in terms of implementation of designs.
• Drafting and preparing technical files.
• Possibly take on-site measurements if your interest lies in this.
• You will work closely with your fellow designers and the electrical draftsmen to ensure that the designs meet customer specifications and requirements.

Profile

In your role as a mechanical design engineer, you will largely meet the following requirements:

• In possession of a technical bachelor's or master's degree such as e.g. electromechanics.
• If you are equivalent by experience you will also be considered.
• You have experience and/or interest in mechanical engineering.
• Preferably already a first working experience in a designer/draughtsman position.
• Knowledge of a 3D software package (working with Inventor and Autocad).
• Very good knowledge of English and already good knowledge of Dutch.
• Strong communication skills to work as part of a team.
