Project Manager
Function
As project manager, you will be responsible for the entire project process, from sale to completion. You work closely with various teams and ensure that all aspects of the project run smoothly. Below is a sample of your tasks:
- Support the sales team in preparing quotations and presenting solutions to customers.
- After the sale, you supervise the project from start to finish. You assemble project teams and ensure clear task allocation.
- Possibly self-measure the existing situation at customers' premises.
- Translate the sold solutions to the project teams with concrete assignments for the mechanical and electrical draftsmen. You outline the context and provide clear instructions.
- Maintaining contact with the workshop manager so that everything runs smoothly and can be made within the given time frame.
- On delivery, you will supervise the mechanics on start-up and make sure they are well prepared to work.
Profile
In your role as project manager, you will largely meet the requirements below:
- In possession of a master's degree in industrial engineering in electromechanics or related or you are equivalent through experience.
- Previous experience in a project leadership role in a technical environment.
- Good communication skills both with customers and internal teams.
- Fluent in both Dutch, French and English.
- Good knowledge/interpretation of a 3D software package.
- Good technical understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems. You can help think of suitable solutions for customers.
- Problem-solving ability.
- True team player who works well together and knows how to motivate and coordinate a team.
- Flexible and hands-on attitude within an SME culture where you will support in other areas if needed.
Organisation
Located in the Waasland area, our client makes innovative installations for industry. They offer the full package from design, in-house construction workshop to automation and installation. They specialise mainly in customer-oriented solutions and systems for bulk and raw material handling, dust extraction and filter systems such as breweries, chemical industry, food,.... They have been around for more than 30 years and, as a family business with 25 employees, they attach great importance to a good working atmosphere and personal development of their employees. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a project leader.

There are flexible hours with regular hours between 9am and 12pm and between 1pm and 4pm. In addition, you will work a 39-hour week with 6 ADV days on top of your statutory leave.
