Procurement & Logistics Officer
Function
For our client in Genk, we are looking for a Procurement & Logistics Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for streamlining the procurement and logistics process. You play a crucial role in managing the entire process, from ordering to invoicing, ensuring that everything runs efficiently and accurately. An important part of your job is negotiating with suppliers to achieve optimal price-quality ratios and organising and monitoring logistics activities and transport, including customs formalities. You will also support the company's quality, safety and environmental management system.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support the purchasing department with administrative tasks and follow-up;
- Execution of general procurement processes and negotiations with suppliers, including price requests;
- Follow up and confirm orders in the ERP system Navision;
- Control and manage invoices and supplier data;
- Logistics support in administration and dispatch of spare part orders;
- Organising and following up transports with related customs formalities;
- Handling returns and processing in the ERP package;
- Support general logistics activities (order picking, stock counting, inventory management);
- Active contribution to the quality, safety and environmental management system;
- Careful handling of business-sensitive information and adherence to information security rules.
Profile
For the position of Procurement & Logistics Officer, we are looking for an energetic, accurate and flexible professional with a strong background in procurement and logistics. You will contribute to the success of our team and know how to communicate and collaborate effectively with suppliers and customers.
- Diploma, preferably at Bachelor level, in an administrative or logistics field (Supply Chain Management);
- Relevant work experience in a similar administrative position is a plus;
- Knowledge of customs procedures and experience with ERP systems, preferably Navision;
- Team player with strong social and communication skills;
- Nautical, organised and stress-resistant working attitude;
- Flexible attitude and problem-solving skills;
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages;
- Skill in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

For the position of Procurement & Logistics Officer, our client offers a remuneration based on your experience, consisting of:
- A gross monthly salary based on experience;
