Supply Chain Officer

Function

We are looking for a Supply Chain Officer for our client in Genk. As a Supply Chain Officer, you will be the driving force behind the smooth running of our client’s supply chain. In this role, you will act as the right-hand person to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Sales, Finance and Quality, as well as with external parties such as customers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of activities:

• From planning, procurement policy, supplier monitoring, stock management and logistics monitoring to managing the invoicing process;
• Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to analyse processes and turn areas for improvement into concrete actions that contribute to the further development and optimisation of the supply chain;
• With a proactive mindset, you will take independent ownership of areas such as procurement policy, logistics processes and stock management, and introduce structure to take these activities to the next level;

Profile

For the role of Supply Chain Officer, we are looking for a motivated professional with the following profile:

• You hold a degree in Supply Chain Management or logistics, or have equivalent experience, supplemented by at least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English;
• You take responsibility and ownership of the areas assigned to you and are able to organise work processes and data effectively;
• A proactive attitude, a solution-focused approach and meeting deadlines are essential for success in this role;
• You have a pioneering spirit and the enthusiasm to develop new processes in a dynamic and fast-growing environment;
• An interest in the metalworking industry would be an advantage.
