Purchase Assistant
Function
Our client, one of the largest distributors of confectionery, soft drinks and tobacco products for the convenience market in Belgium, is looking for an enthusiastic Purchasing Assistant to join the team in Wijnegem. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be an indispensable link in our purchasing process and support the Category Managers in their daily work. Your responsibilities include:
- Perform and manage administrative tasks and follow-up for Category Managers.
- Centralising and entering data and promotions into our system and brochure file.
- Managing the central article database.
- Following up on leaflets, promotions and reports.
- Act as backup for colleagues within purchase support and replenishment.
- Communication with sales representatives and telesales on promotions and stock management.
- You will support in the confectionery and tobacco department.

Profile
We are looking for a Purchasing Assistant with strong, analytical skills and experience to join our dynamic team. Your profile:
- You have background in administration and data management.
- Experience within a purchasing department, preferably in the FMCG sector, is a strong plus.
- You have excellent knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, vertical search), and experience with ERP systems such as Navision.
- You are commercially minded, a real team player and strong in planning and organisation.
- You speak fluent Dutch and can express yourself well in French and English.
- A flexible working attitude and a hands-on mentality make you the perfect candidate.
