Supply chain coordinator

Function

We are looking for an experienced candidate for our client in Schoten Operations & Supply Chain Coordinator who oversees the entire operational workflow: from ordering and supplier follow-up to delivery, documentation and quality control. In this key role, you will be the day-to-day point of contact for suppliers, freight forwarders, hauliers, the warehouse and customers, and you will ensure that processes run efficiently, accurately and on time.

Your role is wide-ranging and combines coordination, administration and process improvement:

  • Monitoring orders, suppliers, production planning and delivery times.
  • Co-ordinating container shipments, import documentation and logistics flows.
  • Monitoring stock levels, back orders and delivery schedules.
  • Checking print proofs, artwork, packaging, labels, barcodes and product specifications prior to production.
  • Administrative follow-up of returns, complaints, purchase invoices and product documentation.
  • Tracking customs, import and transport documents.
  • Managing obligations such as Fost Plus, Recupel, Bebat and Auvibel.
  • To play an active role in optimising, digitising and automating the company’s operational processes.

You will work closely with various internal and external partners and be given the opportunity to take ownership, identify bottlenecks and help build a smoother and more professional way of working.

Profile

For this role, we are looking for a professional with experience in operations, supply chain, logistics coordination or a similar field. You are someone who excels at maintaining an overview, organising and following up, and who can switch effortlessly between operational matters, administrative details and commercial interests.

We expect you to thrive in a dynamic SME environment and to possess the right balance of analytical insight, attention to detail and strong communication skills:

  • Relevant experience in operations, supply chain, logistics or import/export.
  • Experience in the administrative and operational management of cases from start to finish.
  • Highly meticulous, organised and skilled at setting priorities.
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a clear sense of ownership.
  • Stress-resistant and able to manage several cases at the same time.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English; French is an advantage.
  • Experience with Odoo is a key asset; knowledge of Odoo 16 or a similar ERP system is clearly preferred.
  • An understanding of underlying business processes and a willingness to contribute ideas on improvement and digitalisation.
  • You’ll feel right at home in a family-run SME where commitment, flexibility and responsibility are key.
  • This company’s busiest period runs from June to September. You can plan your holiday around this.

If you also have experience with quality control, import documentation, product documentation or liaising with international suppliers, this would be an added bonus.
