GL Accountant

Function

For the position as GL Accountant at our client in the Antwerp region, we are looking for someone who is fascinated by the following range of tasks:

• You will process the complete accounting for the assigned companies and countries.
• You prepare the monthly and annual financial close of the assigned entities.
• You align accounting and operational processes.
• You will be responsible for the balance sheet analysis and monthly reconciliation of assigned entities.
• You prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end internal and group reports.
• You provide monitoring of costs, accruals and provisions in collaboration with the controlling team and local teams.
• You participate in the annual budgeting process.
• You foresee the closing of general ledger accounts and financial reporting.
• You participate in the annual external audit process if required.
• You will work closely with the Financial Controllers team in this process.
• You will always work on a country or entity based in Western Europe.

Profile

To fulfil this role of GL Accountant, you recognise yourself in the following profile:

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting.
• You have a first experience as a GL Accountant.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have a good knowledge of balance sheet analysis, monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, IFRS, and reconciliations.
• SAP experience is advantageous.
• You are a team player who thrives in an international environment.
