Function

Your Responsibilities?

• Independently manage import shipments from start to finish, focusing on operational excellence and service.
• Receive, record and check customer orders in the TMS, according to quotations and SOPs.
• Plan and organise shipments, taking into account operational constraints (such as embargoes, transit times, costs), in cooperation with Middle Office.
• Collect and verify required documentation (commercial invoice, packing list, etc.).
• Check availability and readiness of cargo for shipment.
• Optimise execution and provide transport bookings with Middle Office support.
• Maintain recent shipment information in the TMS and prepare transport documents.
• Communicate and manage documentation with internal and external suppliers.
• Create and update events in the TMS to track shipments.
• Monitor supplier performance and coordinate with COS in case of deviations.
• Ensure complete documentation for invoicing to customers, processing internal charges and sending external invoices.
• Preparation of operational reports and feedback to the manager.
• Strong communication with customers, agents and suppliers.

Profile

What do we look for in an ideal candidate for this position?

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in freight forwarding import.
• A degree in logistics, transport or a related field is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Fluent command of Dutch and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail.
• Comfortable using logistics software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work under time pressure.
