Freight forwarder Import

Function

As an Import Forwarder, you will be an indispensable link in our Ocean Import Department.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Tracking and tracing of Ocean Import files
• Using Tree View on a daily basis
• Ensuring timely dispatch of documents to customer or customs department
• Accurate and timely billing to customers and suppliers
• Interacting with our customers to arrange their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers
• Compliance with internal and external regulations according to government regulations
• Propose improvements where possible
• Ensuring all customer procedures are up to date
• Escalate problems to management when necessary

Profile

Qualifications, experience and training requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of maritime documents
• Fluent and team player
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of dangerous goods is a plus
• Fluent in English and good knowledge of Dutch

What can you count on:

• Gross salary between €3,000-3,900.
• Full-time daytime hours (38h/week) - Mon to Thu from 8am to 4.30pm and Fri from 8am to 4pm.
