Function

• You work together with colleagues on the study, calculation, administration and follow-up of incoming tender files.
• You thoroughly analyse specifications, plans and other components of the tender file.
• You build up an estimating file by gathering information through site visits and consultation with suppliers and subcontractors.
• You align with the execution team on cost price calculations and the assessment of project risks.
• You are responsible for the technical and administrative preparation of the works up to the handover to project managers, site managers and work preparers.
• You analyse the client's contractual terms.
• You participate in tender discussions and explain calculations and proposals.
• You report to the head of the estimating department.

Profile

• You hold an engineering degree or are equivalent through relevant experience.
• You have already gained initial work experience as a estimator.
• Experience within contractor activities is a plus, but not a must; knowledge of public procurement, piping systems, cables or standard specification 250 is a welcome addition.
• You are proficient in MS Office and MS Project and have experience with calculation software such as KPD or VNext.
• You enjoy working with figures and are happy to be guided by data.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, and a good foundation in French and English is a plus.
• You can handle shifting priorities and a variable workload without compromising on accuracy.
• You combine a strong team spirit with a high degree of independence.
• You take a critical look at files, seek out underlying causes and think along in the long term.
• You work in a structured and results-oriented manner, with an eye for improvement and innovation.
• You possess strong communication skills when dealing with a diverse range of clients.
