Function

For our client in the Kempen region we are looking for a Calculator-salesman who enjoys making the figures add up and helping to drive projects forward. In this role, you’ll be getting to grips with challenging industrial construction projects, from the initial preliminary design right through to precise cost calculations. You’ll be working on projects that require a keen eye, a way with words and a healthy dose of curiosity.

Your day is nicely varied and includes, amongst other things:

• the preparation of preliminary designs for industrial projects;
• preparing preliminary estimates and cost calculations;
• requesting and comparing prices from suppliers and subcontractors;
• analysing and checking files, measurement reports and related documents;
• reporting to the head of sales and helping to monitor deadlines;
• contributing ideas on feasibility, optimisation and commercial opportunities;
• supporting turnkey projects in the food, logistics, manufacturing and automotive sectors.

As a quantity surveyor at our client’s company, you won’t just be working with figures: you’ll be turning plans into concrete quotations and helping clients move forward with clear, well-thought-out solutions.

Profile

We are looking for someone for this role Our client An enthusiastic entry-level candidate or recent graduate with a keen interest in construction and cost estimation. You don’t need to have years of experience yet, but you should be keen to learn quickly, contribute ideas and take on responsibility.

We are generally looking for someone with the following profile:

• you hold a master’s degree in a construction-related subject or have an equivalent background;
• you have a keen interest in industrial construction and general construction;
• You are analytical, meticulous and enjoy getting to the bottom of cases;
• you communicate fluently and clearly, both internally and externally;
• you have strong administrative skills and work in a structured manner;
• you are results-oriented, flexible and have an entrepreneurial mindset;
• you’re a good team player, but you also take the initiative on your own;
• You’re not afraid to ask questions and pick up new things quickly.

You’ll score extra points if you already have some experience with cost estimation, tendering, price comparisons or construction software. But above all: you’re keen to develop in a role where figures, communication and construction come together.
