As a Quantity Surveyor, you play a key role in the preparation of infrastructure projects. You will translate tender documents, bills of quantities and plans into clear and realistic cost estimates, thereby helping to determine which projects the company can successfully secure. You will be working for a family-run SME with strong local roots in the Antwerp port region, where collaboration, a down-to-earth approach and commitment are key values.
In this role, you will have a varied range of responsibilities involving both analytical and practical elements:
- You will analyse tender documents from start to finish, including specifications, bills of quantities, construction methods and plans.
- Together with your colleagues, you will decide which infrastructure projects ATF will cost and pursue, with projects up to Class 8.
- You request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and compare prices, quality and feasibility.
- You will visit construction sites and project locations to accurately assess the situation on the ground.
- You will work closely with project managers and senior management to draw up strong, competitive and profitable quotations.
- You calculate the cost prices, margins, returns and potential risks associated with the projects.
- Once the contract has been awarded, you will remain involved to assess how your cost estimates translate into the actual implementation.
- You’ll play an active role in shaping the future growth of ATF and the projects the company launches on the market. Calcula
