Bank clerk
Function
In this role, you are a familiar face for clients. You ensure they are assisted smoothly with their day-to-day banking transactions and take on various supportive tasks within the office.
Your duties will include:
- Welcoming clients and helping them in a friendly manner.
- Responsible for reception and first-line telephone handling.
- Carrying out routine transactions within day-to-day banking.
- Cash handling and other banking transactions primarily during the morning.
- Providing administrative support to the office.
- Correctly assessing client queries and referring them to the right colleague where necessary.
- Following up on leads and client files from colleagues where necessary.
You will start in a supportive and client-focused role. In time, the bank will also offer you the opportunity to develop further within another pillar of the office. The preference is for further growth towards credits. This will of course be based on your interests, capabilities and the knowledge you build up.
Profile
For this role, we are primarily looking for someone with the right mindset. You do not need to know everything already, as long as you are motivated to learn and take initiative.
- You are approachable and communicate easily with clients and colleagues.
- You enjoy working in a team and value open communication.
- You are proactive and take initiative spontaneously.
- You have an interest in the banking sector and are open to new knowledge and training.

Recent graduates with the right mindset and a strong interest in banking are also very welcome to apply. Your motivation, personality and eagerness to learn weigh at least as heavily as your experience.
Organisation
You will join an independent bank branch with a small and close-knit team. Everyone knows each other and works closely together to guide clients in a personal way. Due to the small team size, everyone plays an important role in the day-to-day operations and you will be closely involved in the running of the office.
The atmosphere is accessible and collegial. There is room for consultation, mutual support and informal moments with colleagues. A good personal match is important to the team: they are looking for someone who not only has the right capabilities, but also wants to commit to the office in the long term.
