Purchaser
Function
What does your role look like as a logistics buyer?
- As a Buyer, you ensure that aircraft parts, technical supplies and consumables are available on time, so that maintenance and operational teams can carry out their work without unnecessary delays.
- You translate requests from mechanics and technical managers into correct purchase orders based on part numbers, specifications, availability and urgency.
- Comparing quotations, critically assessing prices and margins, and negotiating supplier terms are among your standard responsibilities.
- You keep a close eye on the follow-up of orders, backorders, delivery times, international shipments and urgent AOG requests.
- For hard-to-source parts, you inventively seek out alternative suppliers or solutions, without losing sight of quality, traceability or operational safety.
- You maintain professional contacts with suppliers, logistics partners and internal technical teams, whilst monitoring clear agreements and short lead times.
- You carefully check and archive deliveries, purchasing documents, invoices and relevant technical certificates; where applicable, you pay attention to documentation such as EASA Form 1, FAA 8130-3 and traceability data.
- With clear reporting on stock, costs, delivery issues and potential savings, you help to further professionalise the purchasing and parts operation.
Profile

- Accuracy, discretion and safety awareness are essential, as you work with critical components, confidential information and operational requests with short lead times.
- You communicate fluently in English, work independently but actively seek alignment with colleagues and suppliers, and quickly pick up new ERP, inventory or purchasing software.
- A can-do attitude, self-direction and team focus make the difference when priorities change unexpectedly.
