Work Planner

Function

As Work Planner In Antwerp, you’ll be the link between planning, execution and follow-up. You’ll be involved in technically challenging construction projects at our client, an experienced player in non-residential construction, residential complexes, industrial buildings and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will ensure that every project is soundly underpinned from an administrative, technical and organisational perspective, so that the site can run smoothly, safely and according to plan.

You will support the Project Manager / Site Manager by compiling files, monitoring plans and ensuring that the correct information reaches all parties involved in a timely manner. In addition, you will monitor progress on site, keep track of quality and safety aspects, and ensure that technical and financial data remain accurate and up to date. You combine accuracy with a hands-on approach and switch easily between different stakeholders.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing, managing and monitoring the implementation dossier;
• Checking, correcting and coordinating construction and prefabrication plans;
• Preparing and following up on measurements, price enquiries and tender documents;
• Planning and monitoring the various phases of the construction site, with a focus on safety and quality;
• Coordinating with engineering consultancies, subcontractors and internal teams;
• Maintaining site records, the site logbook and technical documents;
• Follow-up on non-conformities, progress reports, reporting and budget control;
• Providing support with materials orders, scheduling and general site coordination.

You will play an active role in ensuring the organisation runs efficiently and help to deliver projects of a high technical standard on time and to the required standard.

Profile

We are looking for someone for this role our client in Antwerp, an experienced and organised professional with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction sector. You have strong technical skills, communicate clearly and feel at home in an environment where quality, precision and collaboration are key.

Your profile:

• You have a bachelor or master in civil engineering, engineering, architecture or equivalent experience;
• You have proven experience in work planning, site supervision or technical coordination;
• You can read plans easily, carry out measurements and have a good knowledge of construction techniques;
• You work accurately and in a structured manner, and maintain a clear overview, even when handling several cases at the same time;
• You are fluent in both Dutch and French;
• You have experience with planning tools such as MS Project or similar software;
• You have a basic understanding of financial monitoring, budget control and reporting;
• You are a strong communicator and enjoy working with project teams, engineering firms and subcontractors;
• You are solution-oriented, keen to learn and happy to take on responsibility;
• You have a professional and proactive approach to your work, with an eye for detail and quality.

Experience with complex construction projects, technical documentation and site coordination is a key asset.
